One Sees

It is said one sees the world as one is; so then, it is to follow, as one changes one’s self, one changes the world. Sounds logical enough, rational enough, yet how would you respond if someone says the following?
“I changed, but the world is still no better. It is still filled with despair and fear.”

It may sound like a copout, but I would reply:  “Obviously you have not changed as much as you think you have”.

The change does not occur with a shift of the mind’s perspective but rather with or through a shift from the mind’s perspective to the heart’s perspective. Where the mind sees fear, hate and despair the heart sees Love, hope and unity; the interconnectedness of all within all.

The way to start is to examine your own thoughts and feelings and the connection between them and your physical body. If you look closely and carefully enough you will find a correlation between them; you will discover the body is a bell-weather for the mind. Look further and you will discover the same can be said for the Emotional, Mental and Spiritual bodies as well. We have our own system of checks and balances built in if we but learn to acknowledge them. These checks and balances reside within the Heart and can be accessed whenever needed.

This means, if you find yourself struck with the thought of life’s meaninglessness, have lost hope, and are on the edge of despair, that you do not have to give up. Concentrate on despair and see how your four bodies mentioned above react. Then concentrate on hope and weigh these reactions against those of despair. The difference is astounding. I could tell you but this would not be as meaningful as you experiencing them for yourself. I encourage you to try this to see the changes within yourself and then the changes outside.

Namaste,
Steve
